Welcome to Weeping Willow

Welcome to Weeping Willow — Healing for Every Member of the Family, gathered from the Mountains We Call Home

A super quick back story on how we came to be! About 3 years ago I participated in an herbal apprenticeship. This apprenticeship wasn’t just focusing on teaching about medicinal uses of plants, but a soul deep nature immersion which aligned you with your indigenous knowing of how to be in a good relationship with earth and all beings. Then shortly after In June of 2025 I participated in a solo rite of passage, soul initiation journey on boulder mountain. While I was on the mountain I was visited in a dream by mother earth. And she had given me a name. This name was Weeping Willow, but as it was said to me in my dream it said “Weeping Will-a-low”. And holy cow that has been one of the most profound dreams I have had to date in my 39 years on this earth!

That's where the name Weeping Willow comes from. And it's why everything we make starts the same way: with a deep respect for the land that provides, as we walk through the Uinta and Wasatch ranges.

What we do

Weeping Willow is a small-batch plant medicine company built around one simple idea: that the same mountains that give us clean air and quiet trails can also give us the plants we need to feel our best — and the same for the four-legged companions who share our lives. What I love most about small batches is that I can tell you exactly where my favorite collecting spots are, where each rose petal came from, the mountain Arnica that comes in the spring, and then the transition into the yarrow blooms that dot the landscape into a warm fragrant white wonderland.

Our products are simple and honest. Salves, balms, and just a few tinctures — each one wild-harvested by hand, made in small batches, and crafted with care for both humans and animals. Our products change based on how much plant material has been collected so bare with us during those times of unforeseen shortages.  No shortcuts, no mystery ingredients. Just plants, gathered where they grow, and made into something you can trust.

Why wild-harvested matters

Wild-harvesting isn't just about where a plant comes from — it's about how it's treated along the way. Plants that grow in their native mountain soil, under their own sun and rain, carry a vitality that's hard to replicate. We harvest only what's abundant, only at the right time of year, and always in a way that lets the land keep giving. It's a practice of gratitude as much as it is a craft. There are times that we collaborate with local gardeners that have an over abundance of flowers such as calendula, lavender, and echinacea that we use in our batches.

For the whole family — including the four-legged ones

One of the things we care most about is that our medicine is made with our animal companions in mind, too. Dogs and horses are part of the family, and they deserve the same thoughtful care. That said, they're not just small humans — their bodies process plants differently. So we're careful, we're transparent about what's in every product, and we always encourage you to talk with your veterinarian before introducing anything new to your pet.

Our promise to you

We're not here to make big claims. We're here to make good products, honestly, and to share what we learn along the way. Every batch is made with intention, and we'll always be transparent about our ingredients, our sourcing, and our process.

What's next

This blog is where we'll share more — the plants we work with, the seasons that shape them, how we make each product, and the stories from the trails. If you have questions, or if there's something you'd love to learn about, we'd love to hear from you. Send us a question!

Thank you for being here. We're so glad you found us — and we can't wait to share this journey with you and your whole family.
